לפני 13 שנה בדיוק קיבלתי תרומה במרפאה זיגי בקפריסין

חזרתי לארץ יום לפני כיפור.
כשילדתי המרפאה נסגרה. אינני יודעת מה קרה מאז - האם נסגרה לצמיתות. למזלי לא היו לי שם עוברים נוספים, כך שלא היו לי כאבי לב על זה.
יאדה יאדה יאדה - עכשיו אנחנו מתחילים חטיבה שנת בר מצווה ועבודות שורשים. אחד מהרגעים עליו חשבתי ודאגתי לפני זמן רב. אצלנו התרומה איננה סוד - ואפילו היו לנו דיונים על מה היה קורה אם סבתא היה בשואה, האם היה יכול להיוולד בכל זאת, האם הוא עדיין היה כמו שהוא. עבודת שורשים היא הזדמנות לסיכום - לפחות סיכום פנימי של ההיסטוריה שלו. אם כי בעיר בה אנחנו חיים ובתקופה הזו אני לא בטוחה שבעבודה שיגיש אאפשר לו לפתוח את העובדה הזו שמא יהיו כאלו שביום מן הימים יטענו שאיננו יהודי וידרשו לגיור.
בכל אופן אנחנו עושים משימות בר מצווה ובהן הוא לומד להכיר את עצמו ומכיוון שניסע לקפריסין בסוכות - (הנסיעה נבחרה אקראית בשביל נופש עם פארק מים) - חשבתי לנצל את ההזדמנות ולקפוץ גם למרפאת זיגי - שאני זוכרת שהיתה כמו אכסניה עם חוף ובריכה שהיתה ללא מים.

Portrait photography has especially delegated a special special place in my life. Growing up you could find me in hand with a 35mm huge camera in my hand taking shots of my best childhood and favorite subjects, and the luscious local color composing the smallish oceanic place in the north Virginia Bay where my family and I went to grade school.
