Should we as Martial Artists
hide the fact that we may be involved in Martial Arts? If so should we hide this from our neighbors ,friends? From who exactly if at all? Or is there a positive thing to come out of others knowing what we do? Growing up in New York we were very careful not to let others know we work out. We would not walk to the Dojo with our Gi's on not even the pants. Our teachers were even upset at the fact that someone might think about wearing his Gi outside the Dojo.In israel I see not just children (which to me is bad education,to have them walking around in their Gi's)but also grown ups.I can understand people working out at the park etc where others work out.How about working out where others do not? What is your opinion? Do teachers here make an issue out of this? Should we make an issue out of this? I have already got use to my students coming in their gi's pants etc.I am not happy with that.Should we in Rome do what the Romans do,or should we set higher standerds even in Israel? Shimon
